Admission of Members
Shiloh's membership consists of persons who have made a profession of faith in christ as Savior and Lord, who have been baptized by immersion, and who are in agreement with the statements of our beliefs as set forth in our Constitution. Any person may offer himself or herself as a candidate for membership of Shiloh Baptist church in any of the following ways as defined in our Bylaws:
- By ordinance of baptism after profession of faith;
- By letter of transfer from another Baptist church; or
- By statement that he or she has accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord and has been baptized by immersion.
Members are expected and encouraged to be faithful in all the duties essential to the Christian life, to attend regularly the services of this church, to give systematically for its support and its causes, and to share in its organized work. Upon acceptance as a member of the church, one is eligible to vote on all issues which arise within the church. New members are encouraged to attend a new members' orientation, as prescribed by the church.
